Bob McGaw Black Duck
This early example by Bob McGaw from Havre de Grace, Maryland was probably made in the early 1930’s, after he began using a duplicating lathe to turn his bodies. The ballast dates to before he refined his signature “dog bone” weight. It remains in original, although worn, original scratch paint which is best seen on the head. There is wear on the body, in places to bare wood and roughness to the edges of the bill. The head is slightly lifted off of the neck shelf. It measures approximately 15.5” long.
