Check out this classic drake canvasback by Taylor Boyd (1856-1944) from Perryville, Maryland circa 1900. Exhibiting his characterstic carved mandibles and tail notches at either side of the tail where it meets the body, this old warrior has seen some battles. Worn original paint, in places to bare wood and a neck crack speak volumes as to the hours and days spent on the famous Susquehanna Flats. This fine example measures 15” long.
